M* Entertainments was born out of a vision to bring legitimacy to the music business in Sri Lanka and gain 'ear' share through a wide repertoire of original titles in English, Hindi & Tamil.
While, it was initially formed to market pre-recorded titles in compact disc and music cassette formats, M* Entertainments simultaneously plans to develop the local music industry through artist and repertoire management - thus creating a window of opportunity for the Sinhala music industry in global markets. M* Entertainments (Private) Limited is the one company engaged in legitimate business practices where pirated music is widespread in the market.
 Currently, the Company is distributing and marketing an assortment of titles from leading international labels and is the first to introduce original music in Sri Lanka through formal distribution channels. Priced competitively the range comprises a wide variety from western and eastern classical music to reggae, rock-n-roll, blues, soul, pop, jazz, funk, rap and Hindi and Tamil film soundtracks.
Apart from this, the Company has already started developing local talent and the Sri Lankan music industry in general, by setting up recording and duplication studio facilities and marketing Sri Lankan artistes globally.
Principals
The Company has been appointed as the sole agents/marketers of worldly renowned Sony Music, Universal Music, BMG Crescendo and Virgin Records titles comprising a variety from Pop, Rock, Rap, Reggae, Funk, Jazz, Rhythm, Blues, Western, Eastern and Classic to Hindi and Tamil soundtracks.
Simultaneously, it is also the authorized distributors for Videos, VCD's, DVD's of Excel Productions Audio Visual Pvt. Ltd. of India who are licensees for 20th Century Fox, MGM/UA, Discovery, Paramount, Hearst Entertainments & Shringar Films.

 The Company has also opened its own showroom, on the lines of International music stores. Vibrations, as it is called, seeks to make the entire repertoire of M* Entertainments' principals available to the local market at reasonable prices.
 A state-of-the-art music and movie store, complete with listening stations, Vibrations houses a wide range of English, Sinhala, Tamil and Hindi audio and video CD's, DVD's and audio cassettes. It is the first store in Sri Lanka that will sells only quality, original products. In addition, Vibrations includes a comprehensive collection of Sri Lankan music. This is. of course. just the beginning – the Company has plans to open a chain of Vibrations outlets in the city, suburbs and the rest of the Island.

 M* Entertainments' online web store is the first TMOL Company to have its own online store. A unique feature of www.me.lk is that, apart from the online, real time credit card payment facilities for customers who wish to buy music and video CD's, DVD's, audio cassettes and entertainment accessories, the site also offers concert tickets for international and local events as well as other entertainment related products.
