Aquarius Ltd was incorporated in 1975 as an audiovisual and communication resource for the Group. It was a pioneering step in those days and was the first company to embark in the field of audiovisual communications in Sri Lanka.
Today, its capabilities have grown beyond the scope of its original brief. Apart from multi-projector, multi-screen presentations, Aquarius undertakes video walls, event management, creation of documentaries and advertising commercials, non-linear editing, 3D computer graphics, morphing, layering, titling and compositing.
Capabilities
1. Audiovisuals
Today, Aquarius is the only company in Sri Lanka that can handle computer programmed, multi-projector, automated slide and sound presentations. Its capabilities in this field extend to presentations comprising up to 20 slide projectors plus video projected in to either single or multi-screen formats.
2. Documentaries and Advertising Commercials
The Company undertakes the production of documentaries and advertising commercials. Here, apart from clients as varied as The Maharaja Organisation itself, the Ceylon Tea Traders Association (CTTA), Cathay Pacific and advertising agencies in Sri Lanka, it has undertaken work for the Fijian market as well.
3. Talk Shows
Aquarius also undertakes the production of talk shows. A recent one is "In Black & White", the leading talk show on MTV and Sirisa TV. The Show is hosted by Milinda Maragoda, Minister for Economic Reforms and Science & Technology.
4. Non-Linear Editing and Special Effects
Aquarius is completely equipped to handle complete projects comprising editing, 3D computer graphics, animation, morphing, titling, layering and compositing. In addition it also rents out studio time to individual producers.

5. Event Management
The Company undertakes complete Event Management projects. Its capabilities here go back decades when it first started to handle the complete event of The Maharaja Organisation's annual Executive of The Year (EOTY) award and annual review function.
Recently it undertook the management of Cathay Pacific's celebration of its 10th anniversary in Sri Lanka. For this event, Aquarius produced a documentary as well as undertook the complete event production.
6. Equipment Rental
Aquarius is also the leading provider of audiovisual equipment on a rental basis. Apart from multi slide projectors, video projectors, high output audio speakers, tape recorders, mixers, amplifiers, etc., it is also the only provider of a video wall in Sri Lanka.
